Belle Tout Edge
A signed and numbered limited edition print.
Belle Tout Lighthouse is literally a mobile home. Back in 1999 the lighthouse was getting perilously close to the eroding cliff edge. The owners decided they needed to save their family home from falling into the sea, so commissioned the help of some very clever engineers. Under the watchful gaze of the world's media, the lighthouse was slowly pushed along newly installed concrete rails, taking the lighthouse 50ft away from the chalk cliff edge. 24 years later the edge of the cliff seems to be once again catching up.
